Cornel Jurju
Din 1866 și până în 1947 (adică 8 decenii) România a fost regat. Au fost 80 de ani buni în care românii, având în frunte un rege, și-au clădit o națiune, o țară, instituții moderne, o economie dinamică, dar și o cultură respectată peste tot în lume.
La sfârșitul anului 1947 în România a fost impusă republica. Autorul acelei agresiuni ideologice și constituționale a fost ocupantul sovietic care s-a folosit de adunătura pestriță din Partidul Comunist.
De atunci republicanismul de la noi, de origine comunisto-rusească, a trecut prin mai multe etape. Mai întâi a fost republica populară care a proclamat dictatura proletariatului și a declanșat nimicitorul război de clasă. I-a succedat republica ceaușistă eșuată în pauperizare severă și într-un cult al personalității de tip oriental.
Recoafată după 1989, republica și-a continuat, poate chiar și-a aprofundat latura distructivă indiferent de titularul funcției prezidențiale: Iliescu, Constantinescu, Băsescu, Iohannis. Treizeci de ani, decadența morală și disoluția identitară, emanate din nucleul politic (în primul rând de la Cotroceni), au devenit marile avataruri ale republicii.
Moșită de Stalin acum 74 de ani, republica românească pare că a intrat acum în stadiul terminal al demenței. Partidele politice – care cu neobrăzare își spun „responsabile”, „mature” etc. – au comportamentul unor haite de hiene, parcă înnebunite să devoreze orice resursă rămasă în tot mai costeliva noastră țară. Un ritual cu accente demonice în care președintele republicii nu doar că-i incapabil să calmeze situația dar este adevăratul maestru de ceremonii.
Cu certitudine, cum formula recent un prieten, suntem în punctul minim al democrației de tip republican, iar dacă nu ne trezim spirala decăderii va continua și va produce simptome de o gravitate nebănuită. A ne trezi ar însemna în primul rând să ne lepădam de cămașa de forță pe care o reprezintă republica lui Stalin și să analizăm cu seriozitate și rapiditate readoptarea unei constituții monarhice. Înlocuirea președinției (sursa primordială a răului la noi) cu un monarh constitutional va deveni premisa echilibrării treptate a sistemului politico-instituțional, implicit a națiunii și a țării.
Închei aceste succinte considerații, reamintind felul în care Doina Cornea surprindea beneficiile monarhiei constituționale parlamentare în raport cu specificul vieții românești: „Oamenii trebuie să creadă în ceva care să-i unească. Şi nu-i poate uni decât un ideal, un model ideal de autoritate statală care să nu-i frustreze şi care să nu aibă cum să intre în nici un fel de competiţie de putere. Un rege, neaparţinând nici unui partid, nu are nici un fel de interes competitiv şi nu poate stârni la nimeni sentimente de frustrare; el este deasupra. Un preşedinte de republică, oricât de bun ar fi, provine totdeauna din sânul unei formaţiuni politice, va rămâne mereu în competiţie cu formaţiunile rivale şi va fi mai vulnerabil. (…) Republica, prin esenţa ei, este supusă rivalităţilor şi provizoratului, datorită principiului alternanţei şi periodicităţii alegerilor. Pentru un popor, şi mai ales pentru unul atât de manipulabil ca al nostru, această stare de vremelnicie nu poate fi rodnică. În general, toţi oamenii simt nevoia să creadă în două lucruri: într-o stare de permanenţă care să-i unească şi în mirajul unei schimbări înnoitoare care să le dea speranţă. Nu-i poate uni decât un model ideal de autoritate statală care să nu creeze dezechilibre. În acelaşi timp, nu le poate da speranţe înnoitoare decât alternanţa unor guverne politice, rezultând în urma unor alegeri. Monarhia constituţională este această formă statală benefică. Ea ţine în echilibru aceste două tendinţe: cea de permanenţă şi cea de înnoire. Pe lângă toate acestea, poporul simte nevoia să aibă o relaţie mai umană, mai afectivă faţă de cel care îl conduce, să aibă încredere în el”. (Doina Cornea, Faţa nevăzută a lucrurilor.
